BOC Gases – Project Excalibur
Gas Blending, Processing & Abatement Systems
Triplenine Group delivered a complex gas handling and processing solution for BOC Gases’ Project Excalibur, involving the installation of integrated gas blending, cylinder preparation, disposal and abatement systems.
The project required the coordination of multiple gas types, hazardous classifications and high-integrity piping systems within a live industrial environment.

Scope of Works
Gas Blending Systems
Installation of multiple gas blending booths designed to handle oxidiser, flammable, corrosive and hydrocarbon gases. These systems incorporated multi-line manifolds, precision control and integration with downstream processes.
Cylinder Preparation Systems
Delivery of dedicated cylinder preparation stations for various gas types, including purge, evacuation and preparation panels to ensure safe handling and contamination control.
Gas Disposal Systems
Construction of controlled gas disposal booths to safely vent and manage flammable, toxic and corrosive gases, fully integrated with the site’s abatement systems.
Abatement & Scrubbing Systems
Integration of chemical scrubbing systems using caustic and acid solutions (NaOH / H₂SO₄) to neutralise hazardous gas streams prior to discharge.
Vacuum & Evacuation Systems
Installation of vacuum pump systems across preparation and blending areas to enable effective purging, evacuation and safe system operation.
Raw Material Storage & Distribution
Development of gas storage manifolds and distribution networks supporting oxidiser, flammable and high-purity gas supply across the facility.
Gas Analysis Systems
Integration of on-line analysers for cylinder preparation and high-purity gas verification, ensuring product quality and compliance.
Outcome
Project Excalibur delivered a fully integrated gas processing system that improved safety, enabled precise gas blending and ensured compliant handling and disposal of hazardous gases.
The use of full orbital welding across all systems provided a high level of consistency, cleanliness and integrity—critical for high-pressure oxygen and specialty gas applications.
