Orbital Welding

Orbital welding is the only way to achieve the weld quality requirements of the pharmaceutical, specialty gas and semiconductor industries.

An orbital welding system is incredibly consistent, able to perform the same weld as many times as you need, with no human error. It also operates at close to maximum weld speed, so it’s extremely efficient even for projects which offer more tolerance for error.

Pharmaceutical businesses manufacture medications which will be taken into the body, without cooking or other processes which could remove contamination. Purity is essential. The smallest pit or crack in a weld could offer a harbour for bacteria, hence the need for high quality orbital welding.

The same requirements apply in the food and beverage industry.

For semiconductors and gases, the seamless join created by orbital welding prevents leaks and keeps gases pure.

Orbital welding is also ideal for CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and product transfer from one location to another – areas where hygiene matters!
