Lion Craft Brewery – Overseas Passenger Terminal
Scope of Triplenine Group’s Work
The Squire’s Landing at the Overseas Passenger Terminal is a prestigious venue including a microbrewery and restaurant. Lion Australia engaged Triplenine Group to manage the end-to-end mechanical delivery of the microbrewery.
This included:
3D CAD modelling of all brewing equipment, pipework, conduits, and service racks to support installation planning and client review
Project and logistics planning to manage container unpacking, international equipment deliveries, secure off-site storage, and coordinated cranage/telehandler lifts into the microbrewery pod
Equipment installation: positioning and assembly of the brewhouse, fermenters, bright beer tanks, hot and cold liquor tanks, malt mill and grain handling systems, vapour condenser, operator platforms, and MCC (Motor Control Centre).
Pipework and service integration — fabrication and installation of:
Stainless-steel glycol distribution network with insulation and cladding
Water filtration skid and stainless-steel distribution lines
CO₂ supply and distribution systems (high and low pressure)
Hot and cold liquor lines
Beer python support conduits
Service racks, field conduits, and instrument mounting systems
Custom fabrication, including a new stainless grist tank, mounting frames, service racks, tank modifications (valve and fitting changes), and bespoke interface ‘T’ pieces

Key Features of this Project
This project had some of the most challenging logistics of any of our precision engineering projects.
The confined site footprint meant minimal laydown space, so we used extensive prefabrication and off-site staging. This meant we were scheduling delivery of large modules – right into the busy heart of Sydney. Managing timings to ensure smooth installation was vital.
At a high-visibility venue, we also had to ensure every detail – from welds, to finishes to cable concealment – was not only effective in practice but was also a visual showcase for quality craftsmanship. With limited space on site, we used CAD modelling, precise planning and careful sequencing of operations to ensure smooth delivery.
We managed all this within the strict safety and access protocols set by the Principal Contractor (Xenia Constructions). Site controls included inductions, SWMS, and strict working-hour constraints.
Successful delivery relied not just on quality, precision fabrication and installation, but also on planning, collaboration and communication with all parties.
