Manildra Group Beverage Grade Ethanol Plant
Scope of Triplenine Group’s Work
Manildra Group contracted us to provide fabrication, installation and commissioning support for a new beverage‑grade ethanol distillery. This was to be located next to their existing industrial grade ethanol and refine ethanol provided from that plant.
For this project we:
Unloaded, unpacked and sorted equipment shipped from Italy (10 x 40’ shipping containers), following the requirements of the Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
Installed all vessels, valves, instruments, pumps, heat exchangers and other miscellaneous equipment
Fabricated and installed over 5km of stainless steel pipework. Piping was completed to ASME standards and insulated to client specifications, fully clad in 304 stainless steel. All piping underwent Non-Destructive Testing prior to installation.
Established an on-site fabrication workshop for work including final piping measurements and spooling

Key Features of this Project
High risk environment. This new plant was adjacent to the existing ethanol plant, so any sparking could have triggered an explosion. We limited on-site activities which could cause sparking to the bare minimum, and employed strict controls and monitoring for the work which could not be completed elsewhere.
Installation of 8 large columns for the ethanol distillation process, the largest being 42 metres long with a weight of 52 tonnes
Coordination with All Construction Engineering crew, who were commissioned to supply structural steel works, so that piping and structural steel were installed simultaneously
Transportation of large spools - the on-site workshop was 500 metres from the construction site and close to the main road tanker access for the existing plant. Avoiding disruption to current operations was vital.
